Description
An infrared trichrome photograph of two wind turbines beneath a deep blue sky, with vivid colour separation revealing the movement of both the turbine blades and passing clouds. Created from three separate exposures on infrared film and combined through red, green and blue channels, each exposure was deliberately timed at a different point in the rotation of the blades. Their changing positions appear as distinct red, green and blue forms, recording three moments of motion within a single photograph. The crimson infrared landscape and saturated blue sky evoke the distinctive false-colour aesthetic associated with Kodak Aerochrome infrared film, while the trichrome process introduces an additional dimension of movement and colour separation. This fine art photograph combines infrared film photography, RGB trichrome technique and wind turbine photography to visualize motion and the passage of time.
