Description
Cotton Candy Skies is an infrared trichrome photograph of a summer shoreline beneath a dramatic cloud-filled sky. Created by combining three separate exposures made on infrared film through red, green and blue filters, the technique transforms the landscape into vivid layers of pink, turquoise, green and blue. Movement of the clouds, water and people between exposures produces shifting coloured shadows and edges, giving the scene its surreal appearance. This fine art photograph combines infrared film photography, RGB trichrome technique, landscape photography and experimental colour to create an otherworldly interpretation of a familiar beach scene.
