Ranunculus III

Description
An intimate macro study of a ranunculus flower, reducing its densely layered petals to a composition of sweeping curves, soft colour, and delicate texture. Pale pinks deepen within the folds before dissolving into cream and ivory, while the close framing removes almost all sense of scale. The familiar structure of the flower becomes increasingly abstract, emphasizing the rhythm and repetition of its overlapping petals.
