Magnolia Decay IV

Description
With much of its surface now lost, this saucer magnolia leaf begins to be defined as much by its intricate venation as by the tissue that remains. Fine interconnected lines spread outward from the central vein, transforming a familiar natural object into an increasingly complex pattern of structure and negative space. Photographed with a Hasselblad 500 C/M and 120mm Makro-Planar lens on Kodak T-MAX 400 film.
