Magnolia Decay III

Description
The structure of the saucer magnolia leaf becomes increasingly exposed as broad areas of its surface give way to a delicate web of veins. Fragments of remaining tissue interrupt the emerging network, creating a photograph balanced between the solid botanical form of the earlier images and the increasingly skeletal character of those that follow. Photographed with a Hasselblad 500 C/M and 120mm Makro-Planar lens on Kodak T-MAX 400 film.
