Vinyl Diffraction #4

Description
A long exposure captures a vinyl record in motion, its densely spaced grooves diffracting reflected light into subtle bands of colour. As the record rotates, individual reflections are drawn into continuous concentric circles, producing delicate traces of green, rose, orange and silver against the dark surface. With the tonearm excluded from the composition, the familiar object is reduced to colour, geometry and motion, creating an abstract image from the physical interaction of light with the record’s surface.
