Magnolia Decay VII

Description
A fully skeletonized saucer magnolia leaf folds naturally along its central vein, shifting the series from the progressive stages of decay toward an exploration of the structure that remains. The fold gives the otherwise delicate lattice a sculptural quality, while the sweeping edge and exposed network of veins transform the leaf into an almost architectural form. Photographed with a Hasselblad 500 C/M and 120mm Makro-Planar lens on Kodak T-MAX 400 film.
