Ice Jelly

Description
A solitary formation of ice rises from the surface of Lake Ontario, its translucent dome and delicate fringe of icicles recalling the form of a jellyfish suspended against the water. Photographed on Tmax 400 black & white film on a Hasselblad 500 C/M, Ice Jelly reduces the winter landscape to a spare arrangement of ice, water and sky. The photograph was exhibited at Gallery 44 in Toronto and received an Honourable Mention in the 2024 Minimalist Photography Awards.
