Description
Light diffracts across the grooves of a spinning vinyl record, breaking into concentric bands of colour that transform the familiar surface into an abstract study of light and motion. The fixed tonearm cuts diagonally across the circular composition, providing a sharp geometric counterpoint to the luminous rings below. Created photographically in-camera, the image explores the unexpected spectrum concealed within the physical structure of recorded sound. This photograph was published as the feature-opening image for PhotoED Magazine’s LIGHT edition.
