Vinyl Diffraction #3

Description
A spinning vinyl record transforms reflected light into sharply defined concentric bands of colour. The record’s microscopic grooves act as a diffraction grating, separating white light into shifting traces of red, green, blue and gold. A long exposure stretches these reflections around the rotating surface, while broad intervals of black divide the luminous rings into a strong geometric pattern. Removed from its familiar context, the record becomes an abstract study of light, colour, motion and repetition.
